Swifflyy is a location-based dating app operated by Swifflyy Technologies Private Limited, 98 New Indira Colony, Bargaon, Gonda, Uttar Pradesh 271002, India. This policy covers both the Swifflyy mobile app and this website.

The short version: Swifflyy works by showing you people who are physically near you right now, so the app needs your precise location while you use it. We collect what the product actually needs, we do not sell your data, and you can delete everything from inside the app.

What we collect

• Account details - your phone number (how you sign in), first name, date of birth, gender, and who you are interested in meeting.
• Profile content - the photos you upload and anything you choose to add, such as prompt answers, height, languages and what you are looking for.
• Precise location - your GPS coordinates at the moment you drop a pin. See the section below.
• A verification selfie - a single photo, used once to check you match your own profile photos. See the section below.
• Email address - asked for when you set up your profile. Used for account notices and, only if you tick the box, for promotional emails, tips and updates.
• Messages - the content of chats you send to people you match with.
• How you use the app - drops, likes and passes, matches, and any reports or blocks you make.
• Device and diagnostics - device and OS version, app version, a push notification token, and crash reports.
• Purchases - for Swifflyy Plus, the transaction identifier from Apple or Google, which plan you bought and when it expires. Payment is handled entirely by the app store: we never see or store your card details.
• Website waitlist - if you join the early-access list on this site, the email address and optional city you submit, plus a referral code if a friend sent you.

Precise location - the part that matters most

Swifflyy's whole premise is meeting people who are near you, so precise location is not optional to the product the way it is in most apps. A few specifics:

• Location is read only while you are using the app. Swifflyy never tracks you in the background and does not ask for "Always" location access.
• A drop shares your location with people nearby for exactly one hour, after which it expires automatically and is no longer shown to anyone. You can remove an active drop yourself at any time from the map.
• A drop always uses your real current position. It cannot be placed somewhere you are not.
• On iOS, if you turn Precise Location off, your position is blurred to several kilometres and Swifflyy cannot reliably show you people within 1 km. We will ask once for precise access and explain why; declining is respected.
• To keep the map honest, we check drops for signs of location spoofing - mock-location apps, and jumps between drops that are physically impossible. A rejected drop is not stored.
• Swifflyy currently operates only in selected Indian cities, so drops outside a supported service area are declined.

The verification selfie

To earn a verified badge you take one selfie. It is sent to our own servers, compared against the photos already on your profile to confirm you are the same person, and then discarded immediately. We do not keep the selfie, we do not add it to your profile, and it is never shown to another user. All that is retained is whether the check passed, a confidence score and the date.

Verification is optional. You can use Swifflyy without it; you simply will not have the badge.

Messages

Your chats are stored on our servers so they can be delivered and so your history is there when you come back. Messages are encrypted in transit. To be straight with you, they are not end-to-end encrypted: our systems can technically access message content, and we will look at a specific conversation when it is reported to us, to investigate abuse or where the law requires it. We do not read chats otherwise, and we do not use them for advertising.

Who can see what

• Other users see your first name, age, photos, the profile details you filled in, whether you are verified, and your drop location while a drop is active. They do not see your phone number, your date of birth, or your location once a drop expires.
• Service providers process data on our behalf, under contract, and only to run Swifflyy: Amazon Web Services (hosting and photo storage, in their Mumbai region), MongoDB Atlas (database), Google Firebase (push notifications), Mapbox (maps), Sentry (crash reporting), and Apple and Google (payments).
• Nobody else. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.

Keeping you safe

Our Content Policy sets out what is not allowed and how we enforce it. You can report or block anyone you have matched with. Blocking removes the match and stops that person reaching you or reappearing in your deck. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we may suspend or remove accounts that break our rules. We keep a record of reports and blocks so that repeat behaviour can be acted on.

How long we keep things

• Drops - one hour, then they expire.
• The verification selfie - not kept at all.
• Everything else - for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and it goes.

Deleting your account

In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent: it removes your profile and photos, your likes and passes, your matches, your chat rooms and messages, your drops, your subscription records and your reports. Your choices

• Promotional emails are opt-in. Every one carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop at support@swifflyy.com.
• Edit or remove any profile detail or photo at any time.
• Revoke location, camera, photo or notification permissions in your device settings. Swifflyy keeps working, but features that need them will not.
• Turn push notifications off in the app or in device settings.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or for a correction, by emailing support@swifflyy.com.
• To come off the website waitlist, email us from the address you signed up with and we will delete it.

Age

Swifflyy is for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we delete such accounts when we find them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and we will tell you in the app if the change is significant.
