Delete your Swifflyy account

You can delete your Swifflyy account and everything attached to it at any time. There are two ways to do it. Both delete the same data, and both are permanent.

1. From inside the app (instant)

Open Swifflyy, go to the Profile tab → Settings → Delete account and confirm. Deletion happens immediately.

2. Without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email support@swifflyy.com with the subject "Delete my Swifflyy account" and the mobile number you signed up with. Because accounts are tied to a phone number rather than an email address, we will reply with a one-time code sent by SMS to that number so that nobody else can delete your account on your behalf. Once you confirm the code, we delete the account within 7 days and email you when it is done.

Delete some of your data without closing your account

You do not have to delete the whole account to remove something. In the app:

• Photos, prompt answers and profile details - Profile tab → Edit profile. Remove a photo, clear a prompt, or blank any field; the change is saved and removed from our servers immediately.
• Your location pin - an active drop can be removed from the map at any time, and every drop expires by itself after one hour.
• A match and its chat - open the chat → the person's name → Unmatch. This deletes the match and the whole conversation for both of you.
• Email address or marketing consent - Profile tab → Edit profile, or use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.

For anything you cannot remove yourself - for example messages in a chat you want to keep, or a verification selfie you believe is still stored - email support@swifflyy.com with the subject "Delete some of my Swifflyy data" and the mobile number on the account. We confirm it is you by SMS code, then delete the data within 7 days.

What is deleted when you delete the account

• Your profile, photos, prompt answers and every profile detail.
• Your phone number, email address and marketing preference.
• Your likes, passes, matches, chat rooms and messages.
• Your drops (location pins) and discovery preferences.
• Your Swifflyy Plus records, verification status and push-notification token.
• Reports you have filed.

There is no recovery afterwards. Unused Swifflyy Plus time is not refunded; refunds for purchases are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their own policies.

What may be kept

• Reports that other people filed about your account, kept only as long as needed to enforce our Content Policy and prevent a banned person from returning.
• Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.
• Server logs and backups, which roll off automatically within 30 days.
